The Lakeland College Men's Soccer Team was in action today against non-conference foe Robert Morris Lake County. The Muskies put forth a lackluster effort and were defeated 2-1 and drop to 2-2 on the season.

The Lakeland College Men's Soccer Team was in action today against non-conference foe Robert Morris Lake County. The Muskies put forth a lackluster effort and were defeated 2-1 and drop to 2-2 on the season.
The score was 0-0 going into halftime with Lakeland holding a slight edge in shots 11-10. Robert Morris forward Ricardo Way opened up the scoring in the 51st minute to go ahead 1-0. Lakeland midfielder Ryan Holl (Plymouth, IN) equalized in the 60th minute on a nice individual effort. Way would answer back in the 71st minute to give Robert Morris a 2-1 lead that they would not surrender. The Muskies attack fizzled in the second half as they were out shot 12 to 5 in the period.
Junior goalkeeper Joe Silverberg made 9 saves in goal for the Muskies.
The Muskies will return to action on Saturday, September 11th when they host the 9th ranked Dominican Stars at 3:30 p.m.
