Athletics - posted on 10/24/2005
In the last regular season game of the year, the Lakeland men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to UW-Oshkosh on Monday afternoon.
The game's lone goal came in the 21st minute off the foot of Oshkosh's Dave Makovec past freshman goalkeeper Chris Lee.
Lakeland struggled in the first half, managing no shots in the period, but out-shot the Titans in the second half, 5-3.
"It's nice to see the guys step up and play well in the second half," said head coach Marc Colwell. "I thought it was a nice tune-up to the conference tournament."
In the Lake Michigan Conference tournament, the Muskies will host Maranatha for their opening round game on Friday at 2 p.m.
