Justin Groeneveld

Senior Justin Groeneveld has become the most consistent wide receiver for the Muskies.

The Kingsford, Mich., native had another big game on Saturday as he led the Muskies with five receptions for 142 yards and three touchdowns. After being hampered by a leg injury early in the season, Groeneveld has come on strong, amassing 11 catches for 269 yards and five touchdowns in his last two games.

The 6-foot-4 wide receiver is a transfer who has developed into a primary offensive threat for Lakeland. He and quarterback Dylan Van Straten have good chemistry and will look to continue their success.

"Groeneveld transferred in and have learned our system quickly," said Lakeland head coach Kevin Doherty. "He's gotten better each week and his size gives him an advantage over most defenders. He causes match-up problems because of his size and he has great hands. He has the ability to go up and get a ball and has been a great addition to this program."

Groeneveld is majoring in elementary education with a minor in history.
