Senior Adam Benson has been named the college's Muskies of the Week for his performances in action last week. Read about his performance below.
Adam Benson
Senior Adam Benson is one of the most decorative soccer players on the Lakeland College men's soccer team.
Benson finished his senior year with three goals and three assists and helped lead the Muskies to its first winning season since 2008. Lakeland finished 8-7-3 this fall.
The Anoka, Minn., native scored one of his biggest goals on Oct. 23 when he nailed the game-winning goal, a penalty kick in the 85th minute against the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, a 2010 NCAA Division III national semi-finalist.
The three-year co-captain capped 16 career goals, which is tied for seventh in Lakeland's record book, and dished out 12 assists, good for fourth in the record book. 
Benson is double majoring in business management and marketing and is minoring in economics.

Q. What's the strongest part of your game?
A: My work rate.
Q: What do you need to work on the most?
A: Shooting.
Q: What has been your favorite soccer memory?
A: Winning a 2007 State championship in high school and scoring the game-winning goal against UW-Oshkosh.
Q: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
A: Paris, because I took French in high school and would love to see the city.
