On Senior Night at Lakeland, the women's volleyball team defeated the Stars of Dominican University 3-0 in their final regular season home match. The Muskies won 30-17, 30-21, and 30-17.
"After a nervous start the team settled down and played well," said head coach Chad Schreiber. "It was a great night for our seniors who deserve a night like this in front of a very supportive crowd."
On their night, it was the seniors who took control of the match. Danielle Duranceau led all players with 16 kills, while fellow seniors Nikki Boeckh, Heather Heberlein, and Renee Steinert added eight, six, and five kills, respectively.
Lana Neuman led the team with 41 assists, Sarah Buechel had a team high 15 digs, and Megan Maas added five digs and three serve aces in their final home regular season match.
The Muskies will again be in action on Thursday, October 27th, when they travel to Milwaukee for their final conference match of the season against the Raiders of MSOE. Match time is set for 7pm.
