Salazar leads Muskies in first meet

The Lakeland College track and field team competed in its first meet of the year at the UW-Platteville Indoor meet.

The Muskies had nine athletes participate and look to improve on their times and make some noise in the Northern Athletics Conference.

"Joey Salazar did a great job today," said "He set a new personal record and finished 10th in the 60 meter dash. He competed against the fourth and sixth ranked sprinters in Division III. We will continue to improve on our times and set new records next weekend."

Lakeland returns to the track next Saturday, Feb. 18, when the Muskies travel to Stevens Point, Wis. to take part in the UW-Stevens Point Eastbay Invitational. Events begin at 9 a.m.
