On senior day at Muskie field, the Lakeland College men’s soccer team prevailed with a 10-0 whitewash of Finlandia University. Senior starters Charlie Van Ginkle (Niagara) and Shuaib Ahmed (Dubai, UAE) led the charge from their midfield spots. Van Ginkle scored a goal and added an assist while Ahmed provided some entertaining moves while controlling the midfield.
Freshman forward Ryan Condon (Madison) and sophomore Landing Sonko (Banjul, Gambia) each scored two goals. Mike Gorack, Zach Buchman and Ryan Holl each added goals. Freshmen Travis Lange and Setsuya Taguchi both scored their first collegiate goals on the day.
Freshman midfielder Tyler Haug (Milwaukee) served up two assists. David Radder, David Arrowood, and Eric Sauld added assists as well.
Freshman goalkeeper Bryan Stokes (Naperville, IL) manned the goal for 90 minutes and picked up his first collegiate shutout.
The Muskie men return to action on Monday, October 11th when they host conference foe Maranatha Baptist at 3 pm.

On senior day at Muskie field, the Lakeland College men’s soccer team prevailed with a 10-0 whitewash of Finlandia University.
