This week in track and field

This week, the Lakeland College track and field team will travel to Ripon, Wis., to take part in the Private Colleges of Wisconsin Championship on Saturday, April 28.

The Muskies hope to continue to improve on the personal bests set last week as the women scored eight points to finish 10th, while the men scored 11 points to finished in a tie for 11th.

Lakeland is looking forward to taking on the tough competition in this field. Lakeland will need its host of sprinters to continue to improve their times while the distance runners work on maintaining a solid pace.

The events on Saturday begin at 9 a.m.
