Lakeland men's basketball program to host fish fry fundraising event

The Lakeland College men's basketball team is hosting a fish fry immediately following its Blue/Gold scrimmage to take place Saturday, Nov. 3.

The event will take place after the scrimmage at approximately 6 p.m., with dinner at 6:30 p.m., and will be held in Bossard Hall in the Lakeland College Campus Center. Tickets are $30 each, or four for $100. All proceeds will help fund the men's basketball team's foreign tour in 2014.

Purchase of a ticket includes dinner and a chance to bid on silent auction items as well as win numerous prizes, including the grand prize of a three-night stay for two at the Grand Hyatt in New York City, which also includes two $200 dining gift certificates in New York. Attendees also will have the chance to meet Lakeland College Vice President of Athletics and Wellness Kellen Winslow.

The Schwarz Fish Company in Sheboygan is sponsoring the event by providing dinner. Other raffle prizes will include tickets to Chicago Bulls basketball and Milwaukee Admirals hockey games, Those who purchase tickets need not attend to win raffle prizes.
