Another World Out There...

Hello Friends,

So I was out tonight with some buddies celebrating a 22nd birthday and I saw an old friend at the bar. I haven't seen her in years and haven't talked to her in at least a year...if not more. We started talking and catching up, which was great...but she mentioned in conversation that she has read a few of my blogs. This was great to hear. Not only am I writing and enjoying what I'm doing, but people that I know are actually reading them and enjoying them....(or at least she pretended and lied to my face (: ) Regardless though, it was great to hear that people are actually reading and following along. Sorry if I am keeping you waiting too long in between posts...

Anyways, as I'm sitting here having a hard time falling asleep...I got to thinking... have you ever really just laid outside and looked up at the night sky? Beautiful isn't it? I did tonight for the first time in a long time. There was a full moon tonight, mostly clear sky, and tons of stars. It just makes me wonder what it would be like to go into space and look down on Planet Earth and say... "I live there". I wonder if people could have that experience to look down on Earth and see what a beautiful planet we life on if people would take care of it and treat it better, considering for the time being, this is the only place we have to call "home". I wish I took more time to lay out and just admire the beauty of the things that are in our solar system, but unfortunately I, like many others, don't make the time to. I think it would be good for you guys to lay out sometime, look at the stars and the moon and imagine what it would be like to be on the other end looking down. Maybe that will give people a new perspective on our planet and maybe people will start treating it better. Who knows, it's worth a shot I guess. (:

That's really all I have for tonight... I just hadn't star-watched in quite some time and I had forgotten what it was like and how pretty it actually was on a clear summer night. If I had the chance to go into space and experience it from the other end I would do it in a heartbeat...unfortunately that opportunity just doesn't come around every day. Think about it though...how cool would that be?

Hope everyone had a good night and a great day tomorrow (Friday) and that it continues into the weekend. I should be back soon to write about my vacation in Las Vegas; it was a blast. Until then, though, take care friends.
