Men's Basketball Cruises to 80-63 Win Over Warriors

The Lakeland Muskies improved to 5-2 in the Northern Athletics Conference with an 80-63 victory over the Wisconsin Lutheran Warriors on Saturday at the Moose and Dona Woltzen Gymnasium located on the Lakeland campus.

The Muskies (7-6 overall) shot 38 percent from the field, while grabbing 36 rebounds, forcing 17 turnovers and shooting 85 percent from the free throw line. The Warriors (7-7, 4-3 NAC) also shot 38 percent while grabbing 34 boards.

Adam Sutter

The 6-foot-3 Gladstone, Mich., native won his 285 division match this past Saturday, pinning Clayton Neske at the 2:40 mark to help lift the Muskies to a 24-16 win over Concordia, Wis.

Sutter was also successful in an exhibition match at last weekend's Knox Duals, defeating his opponent by a 12-2 decision, which was key in helping propel his team to a 17-15 victory over the All-Stars.

David Hoerres

At 6-foot-3, the Waterford, Wis., native has continued to be a consistent force in the post for the Muskies off the bench this season, helping the squad to an 80-63 rout of Wisconsin Lutheran on Saturday.

Hoerres recorded a perfect game from the floor, hitting both of his shot attempts and all five of his shots from the foul line for nine points. He also grabbed three rebounds and avoided turning the ball over in his 20 minutes on the court.

Wrestling Defeats Falcons, 24-16

Six Lakeland wrestlers took home victories as the Muskies defeated Concordia University, Wis., 24-16, on Thursday night in Mequon.

Freshman Adam Sutter was the first of the Muskies to get on the board when he pinned Concordia's Clayton Neske 2:40 into the their 285 division match.
