The junior outside hitter's spiking savvy and solid defensive skills have provided a recent boost for the Muskies when they have needed it most.

The Appleton native helped the squad to a 4-0 record this past week, including big wins in five-game matches over Northern Athletics Conference opponent Concordia University Chicago on Wednesday and St. Norbert in non-conference action on Saturday. She led the team in kills for both matches with 20 and 23 respectively, and topped the digs column with 15 in a NAC win over Wisconsin Lutheran on Saturday.

The sophomore defensive lineman has made his presence known in the Illini-Badger Football Conference this year, as he is tied for first in sacks per game with teammate Gary Clark with five. The Kewaunee, Wis., native is also third in the IBFC in tackles with an average of 9.9 per game.

"He's the kind of kid you love to coach because he plays hard and has a great work ethic," said head football coach Jim Zebrowski. "He's been a two year starter for us. He started as a freshman which is unique."
