Legacy for Lakeland

Together, we did it!

During Homecoming Weekend, more than one thousand alumni and other friends of Lakeland College were on campus to "Celebrate the Victory" of our $15 million Legacy for Lakeland campaign. Not only did we reach our goal, we exceeded it.

Our new Brotz Hall residence hall has received rave reviews from the 97 Lakeland students who call it home. As a result, we've increased the percentage of our students living on campus. Total residency is up 40%. The renovation of Chase Science Center improved the quality of all of our programs in math, science and computer science, but it also attracted three terrific new faculty members and enabled us to offer a very strong program in biochemistry. The expanded Todd Wehr Athletic Center has added to the stature of our athletic programs and made it possible for us to be leaders in the formation of a new, much more competitive, athletic conference.

The impact of the campaign extends well beyond the brick and mortar projects. The Legacy for Lakeland campaign, through gifts to Lakeland's endowment and annual fund, generated resources for additional student scholarships, and much needed faculty enrichment and academic program enhancements. And on and on it goes. Almost everything at Lakeland College is changed for the better.

On behalf of all the students who will benefit from the fruits of this campaign, now and in the future, I thank everyone who generously supported the Legacy for Lakeland campaign.

Sincerely,

Stephen A. Gould
