| Q: | Is there a special application for international students? |
| A: | Yes. You are strongly encouraged to download the International Application Form from the international portion of the College's web site and use it. |
| Q: | Is there an application deadline for international students? |
| A: | No. Applications are processed on a rolling basis. Please allow sufficient time for us to process your application. |
| Q: | Does Lakeland College accept transfer credits? |
| A: |
Yes. Lakeland College will evaluate your credits earned at approved post-secondary institutions that were passed with a grade of C or higher and determine how many credits are transferable. |
| Q: | Do I have to take the TOEFL? Am I eligible for the TOEFL Waiver? |
| A: | Not necessarily. Please read carefully the TOEFL Exemption Instruction. |
| Q: | What TOEFL score does Lakeland College require? |
| A: | For undergraduate admissions: Minimum 500 on the Paper-Based TOEFL, 173 on the Computer-Based TOEFL or 65 on the Internet Based TOEFL (IBT) is required. For graduate admissions: A minimum 550 on the Paper-Based TOEFL, 213 on the Computer-Based TOEFL, or 79 on the Internet Based TOEFL (IBT) is required. For Admission to The College's English Language Institute: Not required. |

| A: | We will consider your application for admission to the College's English Language Institute. |

| Q: | Does Lakeland College offer financial Assistance to international students? |
| A: | Yes. Lakeland College offers limited financial assistance in the form of college grants to international undergraduate students who will be studying at the main campus. |
| Q: | How much financial assistance could I possibly be awarded? |
| A: | Partial need- or merit-based college grants ranging from $1,000.00 to full tuition may be available to undergraduate day program international students. Please be aware that the number of students receiving full tuition support is very limited. This financial assistance is not a merit-based scholarship. Consideration of such an award is based upon a combination of factors, such as our budget, the time you submit your application, your academic and non-academic record, and your financial situation. |

| A: | Your Form I-20 (Certificate of Eligibility for Non-Immigrant F-1 Student Status) will not be issued until you have been academically and financially admitted to Lakeland College and have paid the required enrollment deposit. |
