Lakeland College pride, hospitality and commitment to student excellence were on full display during last weekend’s inaugural Blue & Gold Days. The two-day event, attended by about 50 incoming students plus parents, began after students registered for classes for the fall 2015 term in the morning. Immediately following Aimee Thrune’s graduation from Lakeland College last month, she went on a post-ceremony hugging spree – much to the dismay of her two brothers. “I hugged every professor I know, and my brothers were saying, ‘What are you doing?’” Thrune recalls with a smile. “They were so annoyed because it took so long.
