Tom Padron

Dr. Thomas C. Padron brings a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry to his classroom. Prior to joining Lakeland's faculty in 2004, Dr. Padron worked as a sous chef, director of sales & catering and as a food service director, to name a few. He maintains professional connections in the industry, specifically through his involvement in professional associations. His students benefit from his extensive background, as well as trips he has led to Cancun, Mexico, Costa Rica, Hawaii and the Bahamas for study abroad courses. He taught for a summer in Seoul, South Korea, at Lakeland's sister school, Ansan University and also teaches for Lakeland's Kellett School of Adult Education in the hospitality management program. His passion is the hospitality industry, specifically the food and beverage sector, and he motivates his students, many of whom are preparing for jobs in the industry.

Charles Stockman

A driving force behind the creation of Lakeland's popular resort management program, Chuck Stockman teaches students how to open doors to a myriad of career possibilities. A member of Lakeland's faculty since 1994, Stockman worked in the hotel and restaurant industry for almost two decades before becoming an educator. In addition to leading a dynamic classroom, Stockman has taken several groups to South Korea where students get hands-on experience working at the luxury COEX Intercontinental Hotel in Seoul. His students have served internships in Guam, Scotland, Walt Disney World, Arizona, Alaska and the Kohler Co. properties. He was named the Underkofler Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award winner in 2009.
