Don FrancisDon Francis is always working on behalf of his students. Don has a large network of connections to the nonprofit world, and he's always opening doors and making contacts that benefit the students and graduates of Lakeland's nonprofit program. A tireless champion of his major, Don joined the faculty in 1992 and he's worked hard to develop Nonprofit Organization Management into one of the college's most successful and popular majors. He is active in the community, participating in the United Methodist Church of Whitefish Bay, the Wisconsin Scholastic Chess Foundation, and the Boy Scouts of America. Don has a global view of the world, having lived in India, Korea, and Japan, and traveled extensively in Europe and Africa. Alan MockAlan Mock uses his own diverse interests to help students open doors to new experiences and viewpoints. A member of Lakeland's faculty since 1993, Dr. Mock launched the college's criminal justice program in the late 1990s, and today it enrolls 50-70 majors. He has served as chair of the Social Science Division and was instrumental in the development and implementation of the college's Institutional Review Board, which paves the way for students to conduct meaningful and ethical research. He has served on every college committee but one, and has taught 22 different courses, both inside and outside of his discipline. He is an accomplished musician and plays mandolin, banjo-mandolin and sings vocals for Michael Lee Ammons and the Water Street Hot Shots, a popular old blues combo which performs throughout the Midwest. Christopher MooreChristopher Moore has been a member of Lakeland's faculty since 2006. Dr. Moore's research and teaching focus is at the juncture between sociology and psychology -- specifically, "social psychology." He is an active researcher and regularly publishes his own work. Dr. Moore also often finds opportunities for students to broaden their academic experience through applied readings, research experiences, and professional conference attendance. Dr. Moore is a former criminal investigator in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, which gives him a unique background and set of experiences to share with his students.
