Approximate costs for a resident student for the academic year (fall and spring semesters from September to May) are as follows (2011-12): The figures are meant to serve as guidelines and are subject to change. In order to be accepted and obtain a student visa (F-1), you must prove that you will be supported fully for your entire course of study without recourse to employment:
Undergraduate:Note: An undergraduate F-1 visa international student must take a minimum of 12 credits per term (Fall and Spring) to maintain his/her visa status. Summer term is optional; however, additional expenses for tuition and books will result if you take summer classes. Most of our courses are 3 credits courses; therefore, 12 credits are 4 courses. You may take up to 18 credits each term without additional tuition cost.
Lakeland offers need-or merit-based college grants to undergraduate day program international applicants. The amount of these grants ranges from US $1,000.00 per year to full tuition. Only students who have completed their applications will be considered. Please also be aware that the number of students receiving full tuition assistance is VERY limited. Please download the Application for College Grants, complete and enclose it in your application packet.
All international students who have been granted an F1 visa to attend Lakeland College:
Your account balances must be paid in full by October 1 for the fall semester and February 1 for the spring semester.
If you fail to fulfill your financial responsibility or your account balances are not paid by the above dates, Lakeland College will terminate you as an F1 visa student in the SEVIS. Termination is a serious action, and you will fall out of status immediately upon termination.
