Lakeland College lineman Nick Zeck earned Illini-Badger Conference player of the week honors, the league announced Wednesday.
Zeck, a junior from West Allis, was named IBFC Defensive Player of the Week. He shared the honor with Greenville's JR Harriel.
Zeck had five solo tackles and five assists, including four sacks for a total loss of 26 yards, in Lakeland's 14-13 win over previously league-unbeaten Aurora.
Lakeland, now 6-3 overall, close out regular season play by hosting Greenville on Saturday at noon. The Muskies will clinch at least a share of the IBC title with a victory.
