Cooperative Education: Paige Olsen

Name: Paige Olsen

Hometown: Kingsford, Mich.

Major: Exercise Science

Year in school: Sophomore

Cooperative Education Job: Certified Nursing Assistant at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center

Campus involvement: Exercise Science Research Team.

Post-graduation dream job: Physician assistant.

Lakeland is a good fit for me because: It’s a small community on campus and is setting me up for success leading to grad school.

What Paige’s employer is saying: “Paige is one of a kind! We have been blessed to add Paige to our team. Her positive attitude is contagious. She is dedicated, hardworking and determined to always give 110% of herself. She leads by example and has been a great addition to Rocky Knoll.”

Lakeland University is the only Midwestern school that offers Cooperative Education across all majors by allowing participating students to gain on-the-job knowledge and academic credit for their work. LU students can earn up to 25% of the degree through work and post-work reflection.

Each year, we welcome more students who are interested in the benefits of Co-Op and the ability to connect with a lengthy list of corporate and organizational partners who support the program and our student’s learning.
