The Business of You: A Practical Path For Pursuing Your Creative Passions

Lakeland University is offering a new summer camp, “The Business of You: A Practical Path for Pursuing Your Creative Passions,” from July 12-14. This free, three-day, non-residential summer workshop for rising high school juniors and seniors is intended to develop entrepreneurial skills for artists including identification of values, financial literacy and wellness strategies.

The program includes:

  • Instruction from internationally renowned professional artists, local business leaders and Lakeland faculty and staff, featuring opera singer Emily Fons and LU faculty member Charlie Krebs.
  • Continental breakfast and lunch each day.
  • Final student presentation of personal mission and vision statements by program participants.
  • A free concert by mezzo-soprano Emily Fons and collaborative pianist Janna Ernst.

Along with no cost to attend, students who participate in the camp will receive a $750 scholarship to Lakeland University, or a $500 scholarship to the school of their choice for first-year admission.
