- ABOUT LAKELAND

The Hayssen Academic Resource Center helps students become more comfortable, confident, and committed while at Lakeland.
We provide FREE academic support to all Lakeland College students. Our goal is to help students to succeed in their courses through the use of tutors, resources, and quiet technologically-equipped study areas. In the HARC, students can receive help from qualified classmates who are trained as tutors to assist them with writing and in a variety of subject areas.
Tutoring is one of the main services provided by the HARC, but we also provide a great environment for individual and group studying. There are 12 different computers for student use as well as several tables and work areas where students can study. For students who just need to relax or nap between classes, we also have some comfortable couches and chairs. Students should feel free to bring a lunch up to eat or a book up to read.
Old Main. Third Floor.
The HARC's hours are set by the general hours of Old Main. So, the ARC is open from about 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tutors are usually available starting as early as 8:00 a.m. and going until 7:00 p.m. Check our tutor schedules to find a tutor at a time that is convenient for you.
