For Alumni/Mentors
The Career Development Office always appreciates connecting with Lakeland College alumni and area professionals to assist in working with our students. Lakeland students enjoy learning more about what life after Lakeland might really be like and often have questions about possible career paths. Students frequently connect with alumni and professionals through a course they are taking OR on-line through our Career Connect mentoring program. If you are intersted in establishing a stronger relationship with our department and our current students, here is how:
Participate in On-Campus Programs/Events/Classes - Each semester we offer a variety of hands-on activities, such as mock interviews, professional panels, etiquette luncheons, and networking socials. Career Development staff also teach two courses - LAK 101 Career Choices: Foundations and LAK 201 Career Choices: Strategies. If you would like to know when the next event will occur that you can participate with, please contact Jess Lambrecht at (920) 565-1388 or e-mail lambrechtjn@lakeland.edu.
Become a Mentor - We invite alumni to register with the Career Development Office and Career Connect to become a Mentor. Through this program, you may have a student contact you to ask a few questions about your position, complete a few hours of job shadowing, or you can select to be contacted for campus events and programs. For step-by-step instructions, please check out Mentor Guide.
Additional Services - If you are looking for something specifc, please contact us, and we will work with you to the best of our abilities. We enjoy meeting alumni and mentors, so that we can provide opportunities and feedback to our students!
