This week, Lakeland's Inter-Greek Council (IGC) is inviting new and returning students to get to know the six different Greek social chapters by participating in various on-campus activities during their annual "Rush Week."

"Rush Week lets people who are interested in Greek Life learn more about it and meet with each chapter to see if it is for them," said Sophi Kuehl, president of IGC and a member of the Pi Kappa Gamma Sorority. "I bonded with the girls in my chapter."

On Monday, the Greeks educated students about Greek Life through fun games in the college's on-campus pub as they held a Root Beer Kegger.

Tuesday, students met in the campus center for a "get to know your chapters" sociable where students asked questions to see what each chapter offers.

Wednesday, the Greeks tested the student's movie trivia with the game DVD Scene during an ice cream social in the pub.

Thursday, students will not only enjoy karaoke in the pub, sponsored by LC-CAB, but those who have shown interest in Greek Life will receive a pledge invite from one or more of the six Lakeland chapters.

Friday, Rush Week concludes as the chapters announce the new pledges at a pub party that will be held to support Team in Training, an organization that donates to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Greek Life is just one of the opportunities for Lakeland students to get involved on-campus.
