In his new position, Wilson will be responsible for providing vision and leadership in developing new policies and procedures for ensuring the security of Lakeland's growing campus.

He will also explore opportunities for the use of surveillance technology in various parking facilities, sharpen and provide additional focus on current security policies and procedures, provide additional training to further develop the college's student officer staff and assist Lakeland with developing an emergency response plan.

"I am thrilled that Jason has agreed to join the student life team and the Lakeland College community," said Sandy Gibbons-Vollbrecht, Dean of Students.

"With my background and experience in safety and security, I hope to add a new dimension to this already well-established security department," Wilson said.

Wilson started his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in social work and criminal justice, and completed his degree this past May at Lakeland. He is currently working on his master of arts in counseling at Lakeland. He is married with three children.
