Supervising Officer

Reports To:

Director of Campus Security

Position Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the overall supervision of the safety and security department in the absence of the Director or Assistant Director of the Lakeland College campus Security department. You will work independently most of the time under the guidance of the Director or Assistant Director and are responsible to maintain order and ensure that officers are enforcing the rules and regulations of Lakeland College in the absence of the Director or Assistant Director of Security. This position also ensures the safety and security of all persons on the Lakeland College campus as well as any building on the Lakeland College campus. This position ensures all buildings are locked; all people are abiding by rules set forth and writing up peers for violations of rules. This position also calls for the review and approval of shift and incident reports as well as critical decision making in regards to police contact and all alarms.

Position Expectations:
  1. Be able to work various shifts, 2 weekends per month and some late night hours.
  2. Be willing to enforce and write up members of college for non-compliance with rules and regulations set forth by Lakeland College.
  3. Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  4. Ability to work over some breaks.
  5. Ability to work with all members of your peer group no matter what race, religion or orientation.
  6. Have 1 year experience and junior standing.

Security Officer

Position Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for overall safety and security of the Lakeland College campus. You will work independently most of the time under a student supervisor and are responsible to maintain order and enforce the rules and regulations of Lakeland College. This position also ensures the safety and security of all persons on the Lakeland College campus as well as any building on the Lakeland College campus. This position ensures all buildings are locked, all person’s are abiding by rules set forth and writing up peers for wrongdoing.
