Lakeland senior linebacker is preseason All-American

Bruce Romagnoli, a senior linebacker on the Lakeland College football team, has been named to the 2012 BSN Preseason All American Team. He is a second team honoree on the Division III team.

Beyond Sports Network has selected Preseason All American Teams for the FCS, D2, D3 and NAIA. The full list of the BSN All Americans can be viewed at http://www.bsncollege.com/pages/2012preseason.

Romagnoli, from Iron Mountain, Mich., had an outstanding junior season which netted him First Team All-Northern Athletics Conference honors. He solidified himself in the middle of the Muskie defense, leading the team in tackles (95). He also had 13.5 tackles for a loss, three sacks, two pass break-ups, one interception and one forced fumble and recovery.

Lakeland's season opens Sept. 1 with a 1 p.m. home game against Carroll College. The Muskies complete schedule can be found online at http://lakeland.edu/football.
