On Saturday, September 26, Lakeland College will host Cantus, the internationally acclaimed, all-male professional vocal ensemble from Minneapolis. There will be a free 90-minute master class for male singers with Cantus, and a concert later in the evening for the general public and master class participants. The events are part of Lakeland's inaugural Big Fish Festival.
The master class will be at 3:30 p.m. and is open to all high school-aged male singers.
Participants will work on three short, easy pieces (see below). At the end of the master class, the mass choir will sing with Cantus and have an opportunity to interact with them. Participants will need to have the basic components of the music learned prior to the master class with the help of their directors. The sheet music will be provided by Lakeland.

That evening, Lakeland will host Cantus in concert. Student participants in the master class can get tickets to the concert for $10, which includes a free dinner. Adults accompanying the students can purchase tickets for $15 and also receive a free dinner. Dinner will be at 5:30 p.m., with the concert following at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets to just the performance are available to the general public for $20; all tickets are general admission. Tickets will be available for pick-up at the Lakeland College Campus Center desk Monday-Friday, 12-4 p.m., or Saturday 12-3 p.m., or Sunday 6-9 p.m.
