TEDx Returns to Lakeland University this October

Lakeland University will host the third TEDxLakelandUniversity on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021.

Through the theme of “Innovation,” Lakeland invites presentations that present new ideas, products, systems, methods, etc. The deadline for submitting proposals is 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, May 2. Potential speakers can submit a proposal here.

TEDxLakelandUniversity will be held at 7:30 p.m. on October 21 in Lakeland’s Bradley Theatre. Details on speakers will be announced closer to the date.

Lakeland’s TEDx event will include a mix of live presenters and a screening of TED Talks videos intended to spark deep conversation. TEDx events are planned and coordinated independently, under a free license granted by TED.

Lakeland hosted its inaugural event in 2018. Learn more about TEDxLakelandUniversity at its website.

TED, which stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design, is a media organization which posts talks online for free distribution, under the slogan ideas worth spreading.

The TEDx Program is designed to help communities, organizations and individuals to spark conversation and connection through local TED-like experiences.

Anyone interested in speaking who has questions should contact event organizer Charlie Krebs at krebsc@lakeland.edu.
